Youth economic empowerment is increasingly recognized as a cornerstone for national development and employment generation. This paper explores the theoretical foundations that explain how youth engagement in economic activities contributes to employment growth. Drawing from human capital theory, labor market segmentation, and entrepreneurship frameworks, this study analyzes the mechanisms through which youth economic activity reduces unemployment. Special focus is given to the policy environment in emerging economies, particularly Uzbekistan, to ground the theoretical discussion in practical relevance.References
