Abstract

This lesson plan focuses on developing learners' pragmatic competence through non-conventional indirect request strategies and formal request letter writing. It combines listening, dialogue analysis, grammar instruction, and creative written and oral communication. Students learn to identify, paraphrase, and produce strong and mild request hints in real-world contexts. The lesson enhances intercultural awareness and analytical thinking through group work, role-plays, and guided practice.
