Abstract

Skin aging is a complex biological process characterized by a reduction in collagen and elastin fibers in the dermal layer, decreased fibroblast activity, and degradation of the extracellular matrix. Platelet-rich autologous plasma (PRP) contains growth factors (TGF-β, PDGF, VEGF) that activate fibroblasts, stimulate collagen synthesis, and promote the restoration of dermal structure. The aim of this study was to comprehensively evaluate the clinical effectiveness of PRP therapy in facial skin rejuvenation and its impact on dermal restructuring. The study involved 24 patients who underwent 3–4 PRP sessions at 3–4 week intervals. Clinical outcomes were assessed using GAIS and VAS scales, while skin biomechanical properties were evaluated through elastography, as well as morphological and immunohistochemical analyses. The results showed that most patients experienced positive aesthetic improvements. Instrumental and laboratory findings confirmed enhanced cellular regeneration and improved biomechanical parameters. In conclusion, PRP therapy is a safe and effective regenerative method for facial skin rejuvenation, and instrumental monitoring reliably confirms its biological effects.
