Abstract

This essay presents a comparative analysis of student assessment methods used across various European education systems, offering insights into the diversity of approaches to measuring student performance. The primary aim is to explore how different countries in Europe assess students' academic achievements, focusing on both summative (final exams, standardized tests) and formative (ongoing assessments, teacher feedback) methods. The essay also investigates the role of assessment in shaping the educational experience, as well as its impact on student learning outcomes and future opportunities.
