Abstract

Speech melody, also known as prosody, is introduced in the introduction as the intonational and rhythmic component of speech. It highlights how speech melody influences the way meaning is communicated and transcends words. The introduction lays the groundwork for a more thorough examination of speech melody's role in communication by outlining its various emotional, structural, and social purposes. Prosody serves two purposes in spoken language and influences listener interpretation, which is why the phrase "verbal and non-verbal communication" is important
