Abstract

The following study deals with the role of the productive approach in developing students' writing skills, focusing on vocabulary and grammar acquisition. Since writing is a productive skill, it needs systematic instruction to enhance the student's ability in structuring ideas, using appropriate vocabulary, and mastering grammatical accuracy. This paper draws on recent pedagogical research to explore the implementation of controlled, guided, and free writing tasks in conjunction with communicative and process-oriented strategies. Results show that such practice, when balanced between explicit grammar instruction and contextualized vocabulary acquisition, would promote student participation while actually enhancing the writing competence of students.
