Abstract

The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of English movies in improving students’ speaking skills. In this research, researchers used a quantitative approach by implementing pre-experimental research. This article is about the effect of watching English films on speaking fluency. Based on interviews with several students, it can be concluded that the use of English-language movies in learning has proven effective in improving their English-speaking skills. Movies help students learn new vocabulary, correct pronunciation, intonation, and speech that closely resembles native speakers.
