A COMPARATIVE REVIEW OF CONTENT-BASED AND PROJECT-BASED LEARNING IN LANGUAGE EDUCATION
Abstract
This article explores two influential approaches in modern language education: Content-Based Learning (CBL) and Project-Based Learning (PBL). CBL emphasizes language acquisition through meaningful academic content, while PBL engages learners in real-world tasks to develop both language and life skills. The article compares the benefits, limitations, and practical applications of both methods. By drawing on recent academic and practitioner sources, it highlights the importance of integrating language learning with relevant content and tasks to promote deeper understanding, learner autonomy, and motivation.
