This study explores adults' perceptions of the impact of early childhood education, particularly programmes that emphasise language and literacy development, on their long-term academic and professional success. The findings reveal strong participant beliefs that strong early childhood literacy skills are the most significant predictor of success in higher education, highlighting the critical importance of investing in high-quality early childhood education programmes that prioritise language and literacy development. The findings provide valuable insights into the long-term benefits of early exposure to language and the role it plays in shaping the academic and professional trajectories of adult learners.
