MAGNESIUM METABOLISM DISORDERS IN PRESCHOOL CHILDREN WITH MINIMAL BRAIN DYSFUNCTION
Keywords:

The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between magnesium deficiency and symptoms of minimal brain dysfunction (MBD) in preschool children. A total of 100 children were studied: 50 diagnosed with MBD and 50 healthy peers. Magnesium levels were measured in blood and hair samples; behavioral and cognitive assessments were conducted using standard tests. A three-month magnesium therapy reduced hyperactivity and improved attention. Magnesium showed potential as a promising component in comprehensive MBD treatment. Further research is needed to assess its long-term effects.
