Dvigatelning ishlash jarayonida, uning karteridagi moy satxi kamayib, sifati o’zgaradi. O‘zbekiston sharoitida ishlaydigan motor moylari issiq va changli iqlimda ishlagani uchun moylarning tarkibidagi uglevodorodlar tez oksidlanadi ekspluatatsion xususiyatlari o'zgarishi ham tezlashadi. Dvigatelning ishlash jarayonida moy sifati yomonlashishiga sabab, uni metall zarrachalari va yonilg’i qo’shilib ifloslanishi hamda oksidlanishidir. Shuningdek, moyga uning moylash sifatini yaxshilovchi qo’shimchalarning miqdorini moy tarkibida kamayib borishi, moy sifatini pasaytiradi.
