THE EFFECT OF THE CORTISOL HORMONE ON THE HUMAN BODY
Abstract
This article is devoted to the study of the cortisol hormone and its effects on the human body. Cortisol is a stress hormone that plays an important role in regulating metabolism, the immune system, blood pressure, sleep, and mood. The article discusses the functions of cortisol in the body, the negative consequences of its excessive or insufficient levels, as well as methods for maintaining cortisol levels within the normal range. In addition, the article explains how a healthy lifestyle influences cortisol balance, highlighting its importance in stress management and the maintenance of overall health.
