Abstract

In this article, the concept of a proverb is widely explained, and the general characteristics of proverbs are mentioned. English proverbs in Uzbek languages ​​were analyzed by comparison. Similarities, lexical contradictions, synonyms and antonyms of the proverbs in the translation of the above two languages ​​are highlighted.
