COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF PROVERBS WITH THE CONCEPT OF “EDUCATION” IN THE PAREMIOLOGICAL FUNDS OF ENGLISH AND UZBEK LANGUAGES

This article presents a comparative-typological analysis of proverbs related to the concept of “education” in English and Uzbek cultures. Using the IMRAD structure, the study investigates how both languages reflect societal attitudes toward learning, knowledge, and intellectual growth. The research identifies semantic similarities and cultural-specific nuances, demonstrating that while both cultures value education as a foundational pillar, the metaphorical expressions vary based on historical and philosophical backgrounds. Key findings suggest that Uzbek proverbs often utilize metaphors of light and physical strength, whereas English proverbs frequently emphasize pragmatic outcomes and personal ownership of knowledge.
