Abstract

This study is dedicated to the history and ethnography of marriage and family rituals among the Uzbek population of the Kashkadarya oasis, focusing specifically on Koson and Karshi city. The research systematically examines the formation of local customs, inter-ethnic variations, and the remnants of ancient beliefs preserved within them. Based on field ethnographic materials, the processes of modern transformation in these rituals are highlighted. The article serves as an important scientific source for preserving the cultural heritage and national identity of the region.
