Abstract

This study conducts a comparative analysis of gendered addressing in Uzbek and English languages, exploring how gender distinctions are linguistically expressed and culturally perceived. It highlights the unique features of each language, such as Uzbek's use of suffixes and modifiers in the absence of grammatical gender and English's explicit gender markers through pronouns and occupational titles. The research aims to illustrate how societal norms shape language use and to emphasize the importance of understanding gendered addressing for promoting inclusive communication practices and gender equality.
