THE IMPACT OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGIES ON MODERN URBAN GEOGRAPHY

Today’s global urbanization process requires the improvement of urban management systems using digital technologies. This article is devoted to the study of the interaction of modern urban geography and digital technologies. The main achievements and problems of digital technologies in urban infrastructure management are analyzed. In particular, the concept of smart cities, the importance of geographic information systems (GIS) and other innovative technologies in modern cities are discussed in detail. The study analyzes the similarities and differences between the application of digital technologies in the cities of Uzbekistan and examples of foreign experience. This article provides a conclusion on the impact of smart technologies on urbanization and future prospects.
