DIFFICULTIES IN TRANSLATING MOVIE TITLES.

Abstract

The translation of movies, and particularly movie titles, is a difficult task that takes a lot of effort. The first thing to learn about new movies is always their titles. To make the translated movie title seem as sonorous as the original, a translator must pay close attention while they work. With the introduction of numerous English-language films, more and more film titles are being translated into Uzbek, with some translations being done properly and others not so well. Therefore, the current study aims to investigate the translation of movie titles, to identify some challenges, and to find solutions.
