This article investigates the lexical-semantic field of fruit names in the English and Uzbek languages, focusing on the similarities and differences in their categorization, meaning, and usage. Through an analysis of common fruit names, this study explores how linguistic and cultural contexts influence the categorization of fruits in both languages. It also examines the metaphorical and symbolic meanings associated with fruit names in each language and how they are reflected in idiomatic expressions, proverbs, and everyday language. Moreover, This article explores the lexical-semantic field of fruit names in the Uzbek language, examining the cultural, linguistic, and cognitive aspects of how fruits are categorized and named. The research reviews the relationship between fruit-related terms and their symbolic significance, considering both modern and historical perspectives. Through this investigation, the article seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the role of fruit names within the broader lexicon of the Uzbek language.
