THE ARTICLE ON THE TOPIC “ COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF FREE TRADE AGREEMENTS: NAFTA VS EU COSTUMES UNION.”
Abstract
This article provides a comparative study of two major regional economic integration models: the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) and the European Union Customs Union (EUCU). While both frameworks promote trade liberalization and economic cooperation, their structures, institutional depth, policy harmonization, and economic outcomes vary significantly. This article examines core differences between the two agreements in terms of origin, scope, external tariffs, regulatory alignment, trade volume, dispute mechanisms, and political integration. Through statistical comparison and policy analysis, the study aims to highlight which features contribute to deeper regional integration and sustainable economic development.
